How to find or search for voting or polling booths in India

The 2019 Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to commence on April 11th, taking place in 7 phases across India and ending on May 19th. All Indian citizens aged 18 years or more are eligible to vote in these elections. Voting can be done only at polling booths, which are set up across India during the election period. You should vote at the polling booth where you are registered.

To find your polling booth, you can follow these ways:

  1. Voters can visit the website or use Voter Helpline App to find their polling booths.

  2. Voters can call the Voter Helpline. The number is 1950 (please add your STD code before dialing)

  3. To know the location of the polling station, you can send an SMS <ECIPS> space <EPIC No> to 1950.

Additionally, you can find your polling booth online by:

  1. Visiting the National Voters’ Services Portal (NSVP) website;

  2. Clicking on ‘Know your booth’ under ‘Citizen Information’, on the right hand side;

  3. Filling in the required details, and clicking on the search button.

  4. You can also search using your Elector’s Photo Identity Card (EPIC) number.
